This service pack was developed to address several issues, requirements and requests that have surfaced over the last few weeks.  It features several product upgrades and form modifications necessary for improved functionality and government compliance, including the latest VA Summary Form 26-0286.
You must have version 7.0 of Point to download this service pack.

This service pack provides the following solutions:

• The memory usage of Point is handled better. Point continues to operate regardless of how many windows and screens are open.
• The “Other Financing” amount is saved when entering the monthly payment in the “Housing Expenses” section.
• Loan Amount data is retained when opening loans that were created in previous Point versions.
• PDF credit reports are no longer blank.
• Fannie Mae credit reports are now printable.
• Performance of the Good Faith Estimate screen is improved. The screen opens faster and Point continues to operate smoothly.
• All PDF file types can now be added to document storage.  In some cases, certain file types display as a blank file; in these cases there is now an “open document” button that allows the document to open/display its contents in its native application outside of Point.

This update addresses a mandatory compliance update for the Servicing Disclosure Statement, released by HUD, that is required as of January 16, 2009. Point 6.2 or 6.2a must be installed to apply the update.

A 6.1a CD is being shipped to all subscribed Point customers beginning June 12, 2008. If you have not installed 6.1 yet, please be sure to install the 6.1a CD instead. This update is only required if you have already installed Point 6.1.

The following issues have been resolved with Point 6.1a:

• Updated Transmittal Summary
• MLDS Mortgage Loan Disclosure Statement
  Paid to Other and Paid To Broker totals were transposed on page 1 of the MLDS
• Verification of Employment
  Borrower's name printed on the co-borrower's verification forms
• Upgrading the Admin Installation on the server to 6.1 removed the contents of the Netsetup directory

Revisions have been made to the Florida Statute 494, The Mortgage Brokerage and Lending Act,  and will go into effect on October 1, 2007.

  Point has been updated to select the number of days for a valid Appraisal request. The Right to Receive Appraisal Form is now available from the Print Menu.

Enhancements & General Fixes

• Print button disabled
  Resolved the disabled print button when printing form groups.
• TIL Payment Adjustment
  Resolved calculation error when payment is adjusted by both initial rate and payment cap.
  
• Report Status Filter
  A new “Status Date”  Drop down list has been added to the Reports and Marketing screen to help generate reports based on the status of the loan within a specific time frame.
  
• Fannie Mae Community Lending MSA Table
  The MSA Tables has been updated with the latest one from Fannie Mae.

Point version 5.4 must be installed before you can apply the 5.4a update. This electronic update resolves the following issues in Point 5.4:

• Printing the FHA DE Statement of Appraised Value (HUD-92800.5b)
  The Lender ID and Sponsor/Agent Number does not print
  
  
• Selecting the Lenders menu causes Point to freeze or crash
  Point does not respond when selecting Lenders from the Menu bar.

Follow these instructions for downloading the update:

For Point users:

1. Close Point if it is open.
2. Click here to start the download (file size 325 KB).
3. A File Download - Security Warning window may appear, click Run.
4. When the download completes, an Internet Explorer Security Warning window may appear, click Run.
   
5. From the Point Electronic Update window, click Next.
6. From the Point Electronic Update - Directory window, click Next.
7. Click Start to begin the update.
8. Click Exit to finish.

For Point users:

1. Close Point if it is open.

2. Save the Mrkt_Templates.exe file to the server where your Point Data Server (PDS) is installed.
3. From the server double-click on the Mrkt_Templates.exe file to start the installer.
4. From the Open File – Security Warning window, click Run.
5. From the Marketing Letters Update screen, click Next.
   
   
   
   


6. Click the ellipsis (…) button.
7. Browse to the Calyx Default Template Set on your data server, and then click OK.

   For Example: C:\Program Files\Calyx Software\Point Data Server\filesync\Calyx\Calyx-Default (this path will be located in your PDS install directory)

   
   
   
   
8. From the Marketing Update window, click Next.
9. Click Start to begin the installation.
10. Click Exit to finish.
    
    
    
    
11. When all of the files have been copied to the Calyx Default Template Set, login to your PDS Administration site.
12. From the left menu, go to Configuration > Template Set Maintenance > Copy Template Set.
    
    
    
    
    
13. Select Custom Forms, Reports, and the Rebuild Template Set after copy checkbox.
14. From the Destination Template Set(s) screen, check the template sets to which the marketing templates will copy.
