Below you will find instructions on preparing your ADMIN installation of Point to install the Electronic Update for Point. You should follow these instructions only if you have installed Point in your office network via the ADMIN Installation option.

The changes described below should be done on the server or machine that contains the Netsetup folder that was accessed in the initial setup of Point.

Steps:

1. Click here to start the download (file size: 303KB).
2. When prompted to save the file, browse to the Netsetup folder and select Save.
3. In the Netsetup folder, locate and open the CONFIG.INI file.
4. Under [Program Version] add this key: EUName= and the name of the update exe. In this case, it would be EUName=POINT53a-EU.EXE.
   
   This entry will need to be changed whenever you download a new electronic update for Point.



5. Under [Program Version], on the Count key, add 1 to it. For example, if Count=1.200000, change this to Count=2.200000.
6. Also under [Program Version], add these lines as well:
   
   EUBuild=1
   Version=5.3a
   Build=785
   
   
7. From the menu bar, select File > Save to save your changes.
8. When the users open Point the next time, it will update their software.

Below, please find an example of the edited [Program Version] section of the Config.ini file. Note that this is an example. The actual "Count" may be different on your server.
